HNLU's Ex Arca webinar series on CONSTITUTION@70: 26th November


About the Institute

HNLU is a Residential University and is sixth in the series of National Law Schools in India. HNLU has been included in the list of the Universities maintained by the University Grants Commission under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 and has been declared fit to receive Central assistance in terms of the rules framed under Section 12 (B) of the UGC Act, 1956. The university is recognized by the Bar Council of India under section 7 of the Advocates Act 1961. Hon'ble Mr. Justice Arun Mishra, Judge, Supreme Court of India is the Visitor, Hon'ble Mr. P. R. Ramachandra Menon, Chief Justice, High Court of Chhattisgarh is the Chancellor and Prof. (Dr.) V.C. Vivekanandan is the Vice-Chancellor of the University.

‘Ex Arca,’ the digital platform of HNLU meaning ‘out of the box,’ hosts speakers on various legal issues and issues of interface with law. Prof. V. C. Vivekanandan speaking on the upcoming webinar commented Indian Constitution, considered as a front runner among the school of world constitutions, is the aspirational document for one sixth of the world population and has reinvented itself under every stress for the last seven decades. This allegorical title will explore three actors of Judiciary, Media and IPR in the backdrop of our constitution on this special day of commemorating our Constitution.”


About Webinar Series

The ‘Ex Arca’ digital webinar series will be hosting the‘CONSTITUTION@70 - DECODING THE MISE-EN-SCÈNE OF JUDICIARY – MEDIA – IPR’ on 26th November of 2020 commemorating the Constitution Day celebration. The programme has Prof. V. C. Vivekanandan, the Vice Chancellor of Hidayatullah National Law University Speaking on ‘Judicial Evangelism’ along with Prof. Sridhar Acharyulu, former Central Information Commissioner and Professor at the Bennett School of Law speaking on ‘Media Melangé’ and Dr. Uday Shankar of the Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law of the IIT Kharagpur speaking on ‘ Intellection Conundrum’ . The programme will be anchored by Ms. Debmita Mondal, faculty and convener of digital@hnlu.
