About Nyayshastram

Nyayashastram is a student-run organisation under the Chairmanship of Mr Ratan K Singh, Advocate & Arbitrator, Supreme Court of India along with the aid and advice from eminent Lawyers, Firms and Academicians across the nation. The initiative is aimed to foster legal research, writing and presentation by providing a platform to encourage e-learning through various competitions and events conducted utilising the virtual platforms.


About the Opportunity

Nyayshastram invites applications from the student body across India to take advantage of this learning opportunity by joining the Student Editorial Board for its blog to maintain the editorial direction of the blog and to ensure engaging, thought-provoking, original and contemporary publications.

Eligibility

2nd & 3rd Year law students pursuing 5-Year integrated law degree enrolled in any BCI approved college/institution.


Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Conducting preliminary review on a submitted piece.

  2. Sending conditional acceptance and feedback after consultation with Senior Student Editors.

  3. Co-ordinating with the authors of submitted pieces on a regular basis until final publication.

  4. Handling queries submitted by authors/students regarding publications.

  5. Basic editing of articles, case commentaries, essays, news articles and other miscellaneous editorial tasks.

Application Procedure

Interested students can submit their applications by sending an email to internship.nyayshastram@gmail.com with a mail body, attaching an updated CV and a recently written article.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview and will be asked to edit a sample piece within a deadline based on which the final results will be declared.


Perks

After successfully serving as the Assistant Student Editor for a specified time, the student shall be awarded a Certificate of Acknowledgement/Appreciation signed by a designated professional within the Advisory and Editorial Board of the organisation.


The candidate will be provided both non-monetary & monetary perks based on performance from time to time and shall also be given free access to webinars, workshops and the opportunity to be in the organising team for various national & international events conducted by Nyayshastram.
