The applicants of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Category filed an intervenor application in SLP filed Union Public Service Commission in the Supreme court through Advocate Satyam Singh Rajput and Amit Kumar Sharma.

The applicants herein have cleared the Written Examination, Physical Standard Test/Physical Efficiency Test, and Medical Standard Test, and have consequently appeared for the Interview. The applicants are waiting for the declaration of the Final Result.

Advocate Satyam Singh Rajput and Amit Kumar Sharma further submitted that the candidates (264 candidates) whose name has been recommended by the UPSC have joined their respective Services and their training has started. The applicants herein are in an atmosphere of uncertainty owing to delays in the declaration of their final results.

The delay in the declaration of the final result with respect to candidates belonging to the EWS category has its own demerits. It will adversely affect the career prospects and promotion of the candidates belonging to the EWS category.
